Know Norm Ride 2026 Raises More Than $17,000 for Feed Northland Kids

Motorcycle Community Comes Together to Honor Norm Schlossenberg and Fight Childhood Hunger

The roar of motorcycles echoed throughout the Northland on Saturday, June 6, as riders from across the Kansas City area gathered for the 8th Annual Know Norm Ride. More than just a charity motorcycle ride, the event has become a celebration of community, generosity, and the enduring legacy.

This year's ride raised more than $17,000 for Feed Northland Kids, helping provide food assistance to local children and families facing food insecurity. The incredible fundraising total reflects not only the generosity of participants and sponsors but also the unwavering commitment of the motorcycle community to giving back.

The event, which began as a tribute to Norm Schlossenberg, affectionately known by many simply as "Norm," has grown into one of the Northland's most anticipated charity rides. Norm is known for his kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help others, qualities that continue to inspire the event that proudly bears his name.

A special thank-you goes to the riders, volunteers, donors, and local businesses who helped make the day a success. Their support demonstrates what the motorcycle community has always known: when bikers come together, incredible things happen.

The event was once again proudly supported by Worth Harley-Davidson, whose partnership and commitment have helped the Know Norm Ride grow year after year. Their support, along with that of numerous community sponsors, has played a vital role in expanding the ride's reach and impact.

One of the highlights of the event was the fundraising auction led by Eric Schlossenberg. With no script and no shortage of energy, Eric stepped into the role of impromptu auctioneer, entertaining the crowd while encouraging generous bidding for a great cause. His enthusiasm and passion helped drive additional donations, proving that sometimes the best auctioneers are the ones willing to jump in and simply make it happen.

For Eric, the event represents more than a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to help feed families in need, while continuing a tradition centered on service and community. Through the years, the ride has become a living tribute to the values the biker community embodies—friendship, generosity, and helping neighbors in need.

The funds raised will directly support the mission of Feed Northland Kids, an organization dedicated to ensuring children have access to nutritious food when they need it most. Every dollar raised helps provide meals and resources to local families and reminds us that fighting hunger is truly a community effort.

As riders rolled back home at the end of the day, they carried more than memories of a great ride. They carried the satisfaction of knowing they had helped make a real difference in the lives of local children while honoring Norm whose continues to bring people together.

Eight years after its beginning, the Know Norm Ride remains a powerful example of what can happen when family, friends, businesses, and the motorcycle community unite behind a common cause. Thanks to their efforts, thousands of local children will benefit, and the Weasles with Norm Schlossenberg will continue to ride on.

Because the best way to remember great people is to continue the good they inspire in others.
